More parties

I just booked 2 more parties for the fall season- It looks like the economy is turning around-Yay
2 new classes start in Sept (Visalia and Bakersfield) so bring your buddies out to learn in a fun, patient, dance focused way and no yelling :)

Things are good, I really enjoyed the last email sent (not via the comments tab-of course) I don't think I've ever had my name mentioned so many times.- It says it's the last- about time

  1. Lessons! I've heard people say that they have had enough of lessons. They don't have the time, etc. etc. But, it's like a kid saying they don't like to eat something when they have never tried it! We never grow up!
The Truth is that Lessons in Square Dancing should be nothing more than a Dance that you learn something new! It makes it even more special than a dance where you are to know everything already!
The first night of lessons can be every bit as much fun as any dance you ever go to. Lessons are rushed because Clubs need bodies, and dancers can't wait to get to what they think will be the fun dancing!
We need to convince them that there is no rush! Enjoy the flowers while you stroll through lessons! Sample the different fruits in the Garden of Lessons, and taste the different flavors of the food.
Fun doesn't start at graduation so you can learn something more! If they won't come to dance with you during lessons, they really aren't looking for making new friends, they are looking for bodies to make their club look good!
Remember it's a DANCE! Feel the Music and Let it move you! Don't do a close order drill!
Some day I hope to see you across the square trying to make me laugh not frowning because I refuse to do a 28 beat movement in 24 and you want another movement so you can keep on moving!
